Two years later, the first Koenigsegg labeled creation was presented, which took two years of work. Drivers like Rickard Rydell, Picko Troberg and Calle Rosenblad were fascinated after testing it. It was time to introduce the brand to potential buyers from all over the world. And for that, the Cannes Film Festival was chosen.<\/p>\n

A few years later, the first Koenigsegg CC8S made its stellar debut at the world’s most important motor shows: Paris, Geneva… Until finally, in 2002, Christian’s dream came true.<\/p>\n

That same year, the Koenigsegg CC8S’s engine was certified by Guinness World Records as the most powerful engine in a mass-produced car… In the whole world!<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text_font=\u00bbfont-117396″ text_size=\u00bbh4″ text_transform=\u00bbuppercase\u00bb uncode_shortcode_id=\u00bb186893″]The next step: Model Koenigsegg CCR[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=\u00bb136947″]The next model was the Koenigsegg CCR<\/strong>, which featured an improved body design with a larger front splitter, a rear spoiler, larger brakes, larger wheels and tyres, as well as improved chassis and suspension settings. The CCR also had a more powerful engine, with dual superchargers, producing an astonishing 806 hp.<\/p>\n

Thanks to these improvements, the Koenigsegg CCR broke the record set by the CC8S in 2002. The CCR was equipped with an improved engine, which added more than 150 hp for a total output of 806 hp. And with this result they set the Guinness World Record for the most powerful production car in the world in 2004.<\/p>\n

After these prestigious awards, the company continued to create cars based on excellence. Proof of this are the launches of CCX, CCXR, CCGT, CCXR Edition, CCXR Trevita or Agera.<\/p>\n

It was necessary to continue improving. In 2017, the Koenigsegg Agera RS set five new world records for a production vehicle on November 4, 2017 in Pahrump, Nevada, USA. Powered by factory driver Niklas Lilja, the Agera RS reached the highest top speed for a production vehicle. The record speed reached was 447.19 km \/ h (277.87 mph). In the same attempt, it registered 33.29 seconds, going from 0-400-0, exceeding the previous time of 36.44 seconds set by the same car in Denmark in October 2017. Finally, it also achieved the highest speed achieved on a public road (single direction), measured at 457.94 km \/ h (284.55 mph).<\/p>\n

Jesko inherits the mantle that left the Agera RS as the premier track and road car for those seeking the ultimate in vehicle performance.<\/p>\n

Jesko is named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of the company’s founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg.<\/p>\n

Jesko von Koenigsegg was a key presence at Koenigsegg Automotive during his formative years. His considerable business acumen helped steer the company through many of the early challenges. Now retired and in his 80’s, Jesko von Koenigsegg and his wife, Brita, were present at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show to see their namesake vehicle presented to the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Limited to an edition of 300 cars, it is an extreme mega-car with a spacious interior and supreme environmental awareness. Equipped with the Tiny Friendly Giant (or TFG for short) engine and the proven Koenigsegg Direct Drive, the Gemera has 1.27 megawatts of power and 3500 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 km\/h in 1.9 seconds and at 400 km\/h in a record pace.<\/p>\n
